Why we built Semanttic

Automate the mundane. Keep the human touch.

We built Semanttic to try and solve persistent issues in UX that we've been personally experiencing for over two decades now. These are issues that were previously solvable only with time-consuming and very manual solutions. With the step-change in capabilities that generative AI has unlocked, the opportunity is now to democratise well-designed (i.e., usable) applications in the enterprise. Solving just this one issue could potentially do more than anything to improve wellbeing for the millions of people who have to use poorly design business applications every day as well as improve business productivity and agility.

Addressing a Pain Point

The frustration and stress caused by poor usability in workplace applications come with a high cost, both in business and personal wellbeing. Semanttic is not merely a tool; it's a complete rethink of how we will build applications in this new era. It empowers designers, developers, and product managers to rapidly scope and visualize their ideas, freeing them to invest time in tasks of higher value (like user research, testing, and iterating to find those non-obvious insights).

Scaling UX for All

Semanttic's ethos is to scale user experience (UX) across your enterprise. It utilizes your design system, traditionally confined within tools like Figma, and activates it for your entire organization. Now, anyone in your company can prototype and build efficiently, without waiting for a designer's touch.

Multi-Framework Support with Code Generation

The diversity of IT landscapes in large organizations often hinders agility. Semanttic cuts through this complexity with a built-in code generator that supports multiple front-end frameworks. This creates a unified source of truth, ensuring consistency while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to various platforms. Define your application in Semanttic and then export it everywhere you need to.

Reducing Documentation, Enhancing Collaboration

The cumbersome process of drafting extensive specification documents is becoming obsolete. Semanttic advocates for high-fidelity prototypes as a more effective communication method for software requirements. This shift fosters collaborative scope definition, allowing teams to focus on building and testing rather than getting bogged down in documentation. And whereas these types of high-fidelity prototypes used to be costly and time-consuming, Semanttic puts this capability into the hands the people in your oganization closest to the problem.

Vision for the Future

Semanttic is not just solving current problems; it's looking ahead. While today's software is predominantly human-crafted, Semanttic's trajectory is aligned with an AI-driven future where software generation is largely automated. Even as AI takes a front seat, the need for intuitive, brand-centric, and personalized user interfaces will escalate.

We believe good design should be available and accessible to all. Before, this was just a dream. We built Semanttic to fulfill this dream.
